This one is not a pack of instructions. It is a ready-made admin panel.
TailAdmin is free. You can read the code and use it. The license is MIT. It is a dashboard template for Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
The README says the stack is Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS v4.
On 17 October 2026 it had 2,581 stars and 874 copies. The last code update was 15 September 2026.
What you get
The free list in the README is one dashboard, 30+ dashboard components, and 50+ interface pieces.
Those pieces include tables, line charts, bar charts, sign-in forms, and dark mode.
A paid version has more dashboards. This note is about the free repository.
- Usual result. A coding tool draws an admin panel that looks like 2007.
- TailAdmin. Charts, tables, a sign-in form, and dark mode, already in the project.
How to point a tool at it
Give the coding tool the repository link. Ask it to build your project's panel on top of TailAdmin.
The changelog says version 2.4.0, dated 13 September 2026, added a file called AGENTS.md so coding tools can work with the project.
How to install
You need Node.js 20.x or later. Clone the repository, install, then start it.
If install complains that packages do not agree, the README says to add --legacy-peer-deps. On Windows, clone near the root of the drive if the clone fails.
git clone https://github.com/TailAdmin/free-nextjs-admin-dashboard.git
cd free-nextjs-admin-dashboard
npm install
npm run dev
