Your five cards compete against the house and for the table pot. The dealer builds a hand one face-up card at a time. Watch each card arrive and decide what to do next.
Hold your hand, pay an ante to forge a card by exchanging it for a fresh one, or bail and recover half of your committed chips. Your decisions shape both contests.
Choose a kicker before the dealer starts drawing. Match its rank to the dealer's final card and beat the house to double your dealer payout.
After the dealer's third card, you can double your stake against the house. A win on that doubled stake pays 3 to 1 in play-money chips.

Any N-to-1 payout breaks even at a win rate of 1 in N+1, so 3-to-1 needs 25%. A flush draw on one card is 19.15%, an open-ended straight draw 17.02%, and a pair drawing three cards improves 28.71% of the time.
Odds are outs divided by unseen cards, and each visible card changes one or both numbers. A visible card of your suit takes a flush draw from 19.15% to 17.39%; a visible card of another suit lifts it to 19.57%. Hidden cards change nothing.
