Learn blackjack step by step with Blackjack Coach. Practise hand values, basic strategy, insurance and Hi-Lo card counting. Choose a play, read the explanation and review your mistakes. Use the strategy chart or practise rounds against the dealer at your own pace. The chart teaches fixed six-deck rules: dealer stands on soft 17, double after split and late surrender. Local training works offline; ads need connectivity and spoken questions depend on available device voices. For adults learning the game. No real-money gambling or prizes; practice does not guarantee gambling success.
A rule of thumb says each +1 of Hi-Lo true count is worth about 0.5% to the player. With a 0.5% base house edge that puts break-even near +1, and a 1 to 8 unit ramp follows the edge upwards from there.
Deck penetration is the share of a shoe dealt before the reshuffle. A running count of +4 is a true count of +0.89 with 4.5 decks left and +4 with one deck left, so a count only means much once cards have been dealt.
Basic strategy stands on hard 13 to 16 against a dealer 2 to 6. The dealer busts between 35.4% and 42.3% of hands, a hit busts you 38.5% to 61.5% of the time, and standing wins the comparison every time.
Twos and threes split against a dealer 2 to 7, sixes against 2 to 6, and fours only against a 5 or 6 when doubling after a split is allowed. Take that rule away and each range shrinks.
Hard 11 doubles against 2 to 10 and hits an ace, hard 10 doubles against 2 to 9, and hard 9 doubles against 3 to 6 only. Against a 6, doubling 11 is worth +0.6674 a bet and merely hitting +0.3337.
